Department of Liver Surgery

The only national organ transplant physician training base in Shanghai and the largest liver transplant center in the world. It is a clinical medical center integrating surgery, minimally invasive, targeted, and various comprehensive treatment methods for end-stage liver disease and liver cancer. The department has completed over 6,600 liver transplants, leading the nation in annual liver transplant cases for 12 consecutive years. Pediatric liver transplants have led the world for 10 consecutive years, with postoperative one-year and five-year survival rates exceeding 90%, reaching world-leading levels.

Department of Reproductive Medicine

Home to Shanghai’s only human sperm bank and the earliest clinical and research center for assisted reproductive technology in China. It covers all diagnostic and treatment projects for infertility and eugenics, with the scale of assisted reproductive technology leading in Shanghai.

Department of Cardiology

One of the first master's and doctoral awarding points in China, a national clinical key specialty, a national key discipline of the Ministry of Education, one of the first coronary intervention training bases in the country, a national chest pain center, a national atrial fibrillation center, a national heart failure center, and a cardiovascular rehabilitation center. It completes a large number of interventional surgeries annually, leading in complex coronary interventions, catheter ablation of complex arrhythmias like atrial fibrillation, pulmonary hypertension, and heart failure treatment.

Department of Urology

Consistently ranked in the top ten nationally in the Fudan Specialty Rankings. The department boasts the most comprehensive urology structure in China, with distinct sub-specializations and disease-specific treatments. It is divided into ten sub-specialties, including renal tumors, bladder tumors, prostate tumors, and andrology, with the diagnosis and treatment of urinary system tumors leading in Shanghai for many years.

Department of Gastroenterology

Ranked first nationally for three consecutive years in the Fudan University China Hospital Specialty Rankings. It handles nearly 650,000 outpatient visits annually, with over 210,000 endoscopic procedures each year. Over the past five years, it has consistently served the highest number of patients in the country. The department has undertaken more than 100 National Natural Science Foundation projects, promoting high-level scientific research achievements into new clinical therapies, diagnostic standards, and new drugs.

Department of Rheumatology

Ranked third nationally in the Fudan Specialty Rankings. As one of the earliest rheumatology departments in China, it has conducted over 30 years of continuous research in the epidemiology, pathogenesis, and treatment strategies of rheumatic diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus and rheumatoid arthritis, producing a series of high-quality clinical studies.

Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology

Leading in basic and clinical research in gynecological tumors, pathological pregnancies, and reproductive immunology in China. As one of the first emergency consultation and rescue centers for critically ill pregnant women in Shanghai, it rescues nearly half of the city’s critically ill pregnant women each year, with a success rate close to 98%.

Department of Nephrology

One of the earliest nephrology departments established in China. It focuses on slowing the progression of chronic kidney disease and integrated treatment of end-stage renal failure (including hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and kidney transplantation). The department has long insisted on integrating traditional Chinese and Western medicine, achieving good results in the diagnosis and treatment of chronic kidney disease, chronic renal insufficiency, and uremia. It enjoys a good reputation domestically and internationally for its replacement therapy for end-stage renal disease.

Department of Oncology

Oncology Department is a Clinical Key Specialty Discipline in Shanghai. It ranked 2nd in the city and 1st among comprehensive hospitals in 2022 academic competitiveness. With 25 senior physicians, including 15 senior-level experts, who focused on the diagnosis and treatment of gastrointestinal cancer (including esophageal, gastric, intestinal, hepatobiliary and pancreatic cancers), lung cancer, breast cancer, urinary system cancers and difficult and complicated cancers. The innovative oncology center operates 71 specialized clinics, serving over 52,400 patients annually. Established good cooperative relationships with international top cancer centers such as MD Anderson Cancer Center, Mayo Clinic, and Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Characterized by an internationally leadingfull-process MDT intelligent diagnosis and treatment model, the center providesprecise, personalized, and integrated oncological care.

The Health Management Center has three divisions (East, West, and South) covering over 6,000 square meters. It serves more than 100,000 clients annually, making it one of the largest professional health management centers in Shanghai. It has repeatedly been recognized as an exempt unit from Shanghai's health check quality control inspections. Adhering to a "people-oriented" philosophy, the center provides personalized and precise health checkup products and service processes.
