September 23 afternoon, Academician of Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering, David Dagan Feng from the University of Sydney, and director of the PET center, Michael Fulham from Sydney Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Australia and other guests, together five people, came to Department of Nuclear Medicine in our hospital for academic visit. Research teams of Professor Gang Huang, Professor Weiqiang Gao and Professor Lisheng Wang from School of Electronic Information and Electrical Engineering of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, performed a heated discussion together with Australian guests on molecular imaging, image processing and other hot topics.
Academician David Dagan Feng is the director of the Department of Computer Science and dean of the School of the Information Technology and vice president of Faculty of Science at the University of Sydney. He also served as academic director of SJTU-USyd (Shanghai Jiao Tong University- University of Sydney) Joint Research Alliance. SJTU-USyd Joint Research Alliance will hold the official signing ceremony for two universities union at the University of Sydney and Shanghai Jiao Tong University respectively in October and November 2015. This time Academician Feng special trip to visit Department of Nuclear Medicine of our hospital, is hoping that both sides can further depth research and clinical translation of image processing and molecular imaging in the basis of long-term cooperation. It would establish an example for cooperation model of SJTU-USyd Joint Research Alliance and promote international exchanges and cooperation of Department of Nuclear Medicine of Renji Hospital on a new level.
