Biography

Dr. Feng Xue is a transplant physician, Dept. Liver Surgery and Liver Transplantation, Shanghai Renji Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, with a primary focus on management of adult and pediatric liver transplantation. Areas of clinical expertise include: Improving long-term outcomes for liver transplant recipients by immune monitoring and personalized immunosuppression; management of post-LT complications, especially in pediatric liver transplant recipients, such as drug-induced liver injury, chronic rejection, antibody mediated rejection, EBV infection and PTLD, improving vaccination efficacy in post-LT recipients under immunosuppression, strategy for hepatoblastoma and children hereditary & metabolic Disease.

Besides, Dr. Xue has also been active in education, having been served as the surgery teaching director for the department. In addition to her work with medical students, she has mentored many transplant surgery fellows, both domestic and overseas for their specialist training.

She is also active in social work and academic society work, her membership include: Shanghai Overseas Returned Scholars Association (SORSA) Pudong branch, secretary-general; Shanghai Pudong Overseas Friendship Association, deputy chairman; International Liver Transplantation Society (ILTS), committee member; Living Donor Liver Transplantation Group (iLDLT) , paediatic committee; Shanghai Paediatric Liver Disease Working Group, deputy leader; Shanghai Children Hereditary & Metabolic Disease Group, deputy leader; Shanghai Anti-Cancer Association Child Tumor Branch, committeeman;  Chinese Organ Transplantation Association Pathology Branch, committeeman; Chinese Medical Technology Promotion Association DILI Branch, committeeman, and etc.

Clinical interests

Liver transplantation related infectious diseases and transplant immunology, diagnosis and treatment of postoperative complications; management of difficult and complex pediatric liver transplantation cases; diagnosis and treatment of pediatric liver tumors, cholestatic liver diseases, hereditary metabolic liver diseases, drug-induced liver injury, and post-transplant lymphoproliferative disorder (PTLD); personalized immunosuppression, and provide expert consultation services for overseas patients.

Research interests

Research interests including organ ischemia-reperfusion injury, molecular mechanisms of DILI, EBV associated PTLD, improving vaccine outcomes for post-LT recipients and so on. Her publication had been over 100 papers, first /corresponding author over 60 in the field, and she owned 3 pieces of inventional patents.
