(Correspondent Wang Chunming) On December 8, the annual review of the DNV GL international certification of our international clinic was successfully completed. Zhang Jidong, vice president of our hospital, together with the heads of relevant functional departments greeted the expert review panel. Two international review experts from the US and European DNV GL headquarters, Ms. Cathie Abrahamsen and Mr. Primoz Straus conducted a multi-dimensional one-day review. They focused on medical quality and safety and attached great importance to risk prevention and continuous improvement of service levels, from hardware facilities, institutional documents, operational processes, quality control assessments to patients’ medical history etc.
At the review, Ms. Cathie Abrahamsen, DNV GL's chief medical assessor, recognized the efforts Renji Hospital’s International Clinic had made this year. She pointed out that after one year’s hard work, Renji Hospital's international clinic has made innovative improvements regarding the problems discovered in the previous year's review, and created corresponding institutional documents and evaluation plans. Through this year's review, the two review experts proposed improvements in the design and evaluation of risk management of Renji Hospital.
Zhang Jidong expressed his gratitude to the two international review experts for coming all the way to Renji Hospital and accepted their suggestions. He hoped that through the DNV GL international certification, the international clinic continuously improves its management level in terms of quality, safety, service and risk, and gradually promotes and applies its experience to the hospital's medical quality management. In this way, it helps improve the connotation construction of Renji Hospital's international medical services, provides experience for large-scale multi-campus public hospitals to improve their service level, service quality and patients’ medical experience and contributes to developing Shanghai into the Asian Medical Center.
